Royal Visits with Women Experts

My friend Barbara Bellissimo owns and runs a website called Queen Power.  I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by Barbara for her Audiences with Queens segment.

Barbara told me that most "experts" are not women!  For example, there were only three women (out of 10 slots) on a recent New York Times bestseller list for advice and how-to books! I agree with barbara that It's about time we all started learning from each other, instead of looking to role models and mentors who are not like us at all.

You can learn the following when you listen to my interview:

  • Where do I get credit applications?
  • What laws do I need to know to collect on my past due accounts?
  • What do I do when I get a bad check?
  • Can I make any money opening a collection agency?
  • How do I sign up with the credit bureaus?
  • Click here to listen to me now!

I just had the chance to listen to my interview, I always hate listening to myself after I give an interview.  I seem to focus on how I sounded, maybe not speaking loudly enough or giving enough information.

I have to say I am very happy with this interview, there is ALOT of really great information to help anyone (not just women!) who has a business, no matter how big or small.

Please listen and leave a comment as to what you thought about the topics and information given. I look forward to your feedback!

Great insights here! Michelle, what is your best advice for women in business who have not felt the support or enjoyed the benefits of any financial backing, but who have brilliant and well proven ideas that might be outside the mainstream? How do they stay alive financially and where can they look for genuine financial support? Ideas? Ellen

    Hi Ellen,
I did not have have any financial backing when I started my agency nor did I apply for a loan. I had a job and saved money, and then kept my day job until I had enough customers to make it without that paycheck. I also kept my employer as a client, so I had that income as well. I also started my business over time, for example, purchasing a desk or computer or a printer when I could to get ready for when I actually "started" my business.
I will post a blog about this since I could go on and on. I hope I have started to answer your question. Please let me know if I haven't.

Michelle, you are an inspiration. I'll be watching for the next saga here -- what a great story! Thanks for the tips.
