 One thing you need to remember when you make any collection calls is to document all conversations, including the time, person you spoke with, first and last name, the time of day and the date. If you get a machine or a neighbor or child, do not state that you are calling about a debt. Just leave your name and number. If someone asks why you are calling, you can say a business matter, a personal matter or about their account. Never say you are calling about a bill or past due amount. |
