I had been trying to collect from a debtor for a while, and he would always tell me he was going to send the payment and was always very nice. He did make a couple of payments but then they stopped. He would still tell me he was going to send another payment with a reason why he had not sent a payment in months. One day I heard these excuses for the last time, so I went to his job and handed him my business card, so that no one else there knew who I was and where I was from. His face turned very red and he gave me the $17 he had in his pockets.
I never had to call him or send a letter to get a payment from him again.
