When you send collection letters, unless you can get and keep the customers attention, it is a waste of paper, time and postage.
Some things you can do to attract attention and keep attention so that your letter gets read are:
- Use a BOLD Headline at the top of your letter.
- Include an attachment, this could be a previous past due notice, invoice copy, proof of delivery.
- Include a postage paid and addressed reply or payment envelope. If including postage does not increase response, save your money and just include the envelope.
I have had different responses to the inclusion of postage, some people still won't pay you and will just keep the stamp.
