Today in "Tim's Tips" newsletter there was an interview done with Marv Steir who is the Managing Director of a group of companies that fill a niche for credit and fraud information. He has twenty years with the R.C.M.P., including ten of them involved investigating fraud.
Some tips that jumped out at me that I wanted to share with you are:
- Send a special letter of thanks (you can produce it on the computer, but be sure to sign it) to all of your customers who have paid on time over the last 12 months.
- If your volume of customers is low, send them 'something'. It doesn't have to be much even a $5 gift certificate, a rose or something similar will do the job.
- Should you have a lot of customers, tell 'em you've put their name in a hat and will hold a draw on X date. The winner gets X. Youcan make the prize bigger - could be a lunch for all of the Accounts Payable team.
