How to Collect More Money!

Know More: Creating a Credit Policy, I have past due customers, what do I do?, More Cash for Your Business, What makes a Good Collector?
If you want to collect more money starting today there are some easy things you can do to make it happen.
  1. Be confident.
  2. Be prepared. Research every account before picking up the phone.  If you don't know what you are talking about or what the situation is, do not attempt to make a collection call, you will fail.
  3. Express urgency to your customer.
  4. Smile. Laughing
  5. Listen!
  6. Sit up straight.
  7. Do not fidget or squirm.
  8. Focus.
  9. Dress Professionally.
  10. Know your call to action before you pick up the phone.
  11. Be ethical, courteous and polite.
  12. Take notes and FOLLOW UP!
