The pessimist - Some of the comments I have heard pessimists make include:
"I can't pay that bill"
"I don't have any stamps and don't know when I can get to the post office"
"I ran out of checks"
These comments could also be interpreted as excuses, or could really be true.
Tips for dealing with pessimists- Focus on why they can't do something and help them come to a resolution that solves the problem.
Some of the people I would call for debt collection would have the money to pay the bill but would always put it off, being a procrastinator rather than not having the money to pay.
Tips for dealing with a procrastinator (in the instance above) set them up on something automated so things happen and they don't have to take any action for them to happen.
