If you don't understand how it feels to owe money that you may not have, you should try to learn about it so that you can effectively deal with any past due customers you may have.
Just like anything else, if you can relate to how someone is feeling about a situation, you are better able to help come up with a workable solution.
I would say the people who scream and yelll at a past due customer, do not understand that nor do they want to. They want to be paid, you said you would pay them, and you better just pay them. There are more effective ways to be paid, and every business owner needs to be aware that if they go into business they may end up having past due accounts.
If you read articles in the paper or online, about how to pay off debt, or deal with debt collectors you will see what the people you are contacting about a past due invoice are reading.
This will help you better understand the situations they may have gotten themselves in and what they are looking at for options.
