Just for kicks I did a search on YouTube for credit and debt collection and to my surprise I found some debt collection software companies as well as some collection agencies with pages on there!
To my surprise I also found some videos that debtor's had made during actual debt collection calls. Check this one out, and be sure to read the comments under the video box. Some interesting stuff there. Please leave your comments here, I am curious as to what you think. I found so many videos like this and many recordings that claim they are actual debt collectors leaving messages that are blatently breaking the law.
I even found one page with a video that solicits people for jobs as bill collectors. One of the things that jumped out from this video was that all you need is a high school education in order to be a bill collector. I strongly disagree with this, there is MUCH more training involved and needed.
Every business owner has to learn or hire someone to do their collection work, or set up and enforce their credit policy, and anyone who has done this knows what hard work it is, and how hard it is to comply with all the laws and the emotional aspect of debt collection work.
wouldn't rights be violated if people were filmed during bill collection? hmm...interesting post.
