Have you read or watched “The Secret”? It has gained quite a bit of popularity after being featured on Oprah. I think every person and every business has their own version of “The Secret” inside them. You know how you want your business to run, you know what your goals are for your company. You know how much money you want to make and how you want to make it. Let your customers know this as well by telling them how you want to be paid and when.
Don’t leave this up to chance; this is something you do not want to keep as a Secret! Let the world know, and you will get paid more money and on time.
A customer that doesn’t pay you is not a customer you want. The way you portray your business and how you do business lets everyone know you are serious, you will be successful, you will have a quality clientele base, you will get paid on time and there will not be any bad checks or past due accounts.
This is really no secret, for example when you have a pet or a child you have the same situations. Your child WILL go to school, your child WILL do well in school, your child WILL do chores, and your child WILL be respectful. It goes on and on.
If you have a child or a pet you know those things can happen and it is up to you to make them happen. The same with your business, it is up to you to make your customer base be a quality base, it is up to you to tell customers how they will pay and when. You are in charge, keep it that way. Don’t relinquish control of your business, lifestyle and finances to your customers by allowing them to pay when and if they want to.
